David De Luca is a multidisciplinary academic. He was originally trained as a geologist and hydrogeologist. He specialized in the processing of satellite images to detect pollution, then subsequently in geotechnics.

He began his career as a drilling geologist, then as a geotechnical engineer and hydrogeologist. He then created an environmental diagnostics company.
